my interest in the ae86 started back in high school. soon after graduating i purchased one with the money i had saved up. back then(1992) i had seen drifting in option videos but didn't actually attempt drifting until around 2000. for me the car is more than just a mode of transportation or a thing i use to drift with. my ae86 is a part of my life. i never looked at it as something that was trendy. i take care of my car the best i can and try to do most of the work on it myself (if possible). it is not a high powered car and i try to keep it simple. for my skill level(which is pretty low) the car's current power is just fine. i enjoy driving and always strive to improve my skills. whether i actually compete someday or not doesn't really matter. i will be content just as long as i can drive my car everyday and run at driving events.
my ae86 is a never-ending project that will continue for many years to come.
